Tispol intensifies traffic inspections in Europe. The campaign will cover trucks and buses

The European Traffic Police Organization Tispol organized a traffic control campaign throughout the European Union. The inspections will be carried out until October 21. The police focus exclusively on heavy goods vehicles and buses.

Until Sunday, the vehicle, cargo and driver documents will be checked in the first place. In addition, officers will control tachographs in terms of compliance with the provisions of Regulation 561/2006 defining the periods of work and rest of drivers.

Tispol will also focus on controlling the speed and psychophysical condition of drivers. Police officers will also check the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) certificates of admission and other documents required by EU and national regulations.

Where will the checks be carried out?

The weekly campaign is organized in countries belonging to the TISPOL organization, i.e. in: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Great Britain, Estonia and Italy.
