The company, known for its logistics facilities, has appointed Jeroen Gerritsen as General Manager, in Belgium, to lead its operations in the country.

“We are optimistic about the opportunities that the Belgian market offers us and look forward to working locally, building relationships, and growing within this dynamic logistics environment,” said Gerritsen.

Belgium’s central location, connectivity to major European markets, and growing demand for modern logistics facilities make it an attractive destination for Panattoni. The company’s first development in Belgium is expected to be in Wallonia, with construction scheduled to start in autumn 2024.

Additionally, Panattoni has begun construction on Panattoni Poyle 80, an 80,000 sq ft speculative logistics development at a prime Heathrow site. This net zero carbon development will be built to a BREEAM sustainability rating of ‘Excellent’ and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.

The company explains that Panattoni Poyle 80’s strategic location near Heathrow Airport and convenient access to the M25 motorway make it an ideal site for last-mile logistics operations.

“Early interest in the development demonstrates strong occupier demand for the highest quality logistics space in well-connected locations,” said Alex Mitchell, Development Manager, South East and London, at Panattoni.
