Pall-Ex Group introduces 2-hour delivery windows for all consignments

The decision to offer two-hour delivery windows stems from the increasing market demand for precise delivery timeframes within the palletised freight distribution sector. This demand parallels the standard set by parcel delivery services in recent years.

To meet these evolving expectations, Pall-Ex Group has worked with transport optimisation specialists, The Algorithm People, to develop AI-powered tracking capabilities. This technology enables the generation of accurate delivery windows, with the aim of improving efficiency and streamlining service for both customers and consignees.

Two-hour delivery windows are expected to bring several benefits to members, customers, and goods recipients, including improved transparency and increased customer satisfaction. Customers and members will spend less time tracking consignments manually, while goods recipients will benefit from a reduced delivery window, eliminating the need to wait at home for extended periods.

“Launching accurate ETAs to our valued customers is a significant milestone for Pall-Ex Group and supports our ongoing commitment to increasing efficiency, improving transparency and delivering excellence,” Barry Byers, UK Managing Director at Pall-Ex Group, commented. “The technology was developed in response to evolving customer demands, ensuring we are able to meet and exceed the level of service our customers have come to expect.”
