December truck bans 2021. See where and when they will be in effect

Due to the holidays of Christmas and New Year, in most countries, despite the pandemic, trucks will have restrictions. Check out when and where they will be in effect.

December 24 (Friday, Christmas Eve)

Croatia – from 3 pm to 11 pm. The restriction applies to trucks and vehicle combinations with GVW of over 7.5 tonnes.

Czech Republic – from 1 pm to 10 pm. The ban applies to trucks and vehicle combinations with GVW of over 7.5 tonnes.

France – from 10 pm to midnight. During this time, vehicles with a GVW exceeding 7.5 tonnes cannot drive on the roads.

Hungary – from 10 pm to midnight. Traffic for trucks, agricultural tractors and trailers with a GVW above 7.5 tons is prohibited.

Luxembourg – from 9:30 pm to midnight – ban on all roads towards France;
– from 11:30pm to midnight – ban on all roads towards Germany.
The restrictions apply to vehicles with a GVW exceeding 7.5 tonnes with or without a trailer.

December 25 (Saturday, Christmas)

Austria – from 0:00 to 10pm

Croatia – from 2pm to 11pm.

Czech Republic – from 1pm to 10pm.

France – from 0:00 to midnight.

Germany – From 0:00 to 10 pm, heavy goods vehicles with a GVW exceeding 7.5 tons and trucks with trailers may not be driven on German roads.

Hungary – from 8:00 a.m. to midnight.

Italy – from 9am to 10pm.

Liechtenstein – from 0:00 to midnight.

Luxembourg – from 0:00 to midnight.

Poland – from 8am to 10pm. The ban applies to heavy goods vehicles with a GVW above 12 tons.

Slovakia – from 0:00 to 10pm

Slovenia – from 8am to 9pm. The restriction applies to heavy goods vehicles and vehicle combinations with a GVW exceeding 7.5 tonnes.

Switzerland – from 0:00 to midnight. Swiss bans apply to trucks with a GVW above 3.5 tons.

December 26 (Sunday, Boxing Day)

Austria – from 0:00 to 10pm

Croatia – from 2pm to 11pm.

Czech Republic – from 1pm to 10pm.

France – from 0:00 to 10pm

Germany – from 0:00 to 10pm

Hungary – from 0:00 to 10pm

Italy – from 9am to 10pm.

Liechtenstein – from 0:00 to midnight.

Luxembourg – from 0:00 to 9:45pm.

Poland – from 8am to 10pm

Slovakia – from 0:00 to 10pm

Slovenia – from 8am to 9pm

Switzerland – from 0:00 to midnight.

December 31 (Friday, New Year’s Eve)

Croatia – from 3pm to 11pm.

France – from 10pm to midnight.

Luxembourg – from 9:30pm to midnight – ban on all roads towards France; from 11:30 pm to midnight – ban on all roads towards Germany.

January 1 (Saturday, New Year’s Day)

Austria – from 0:00 to 10pm

Croatia – from 2pm to 11pm.

Czech Republic – from 1pm to 10pm.

France – from 0:00 to midnight.

Germany – from 0:00 to 10pm.

Hungary – from 8:00 a.m. to midnight.

Italy – from 9am to 10pm.

Liechtenstein – from 0:00 to midnight.

Luxembourg – from 0:00 to midnight.

Poland – from 8am to 10pm.

Slovenia – from 8am to 9pm.
