The new warehouse complements cargo-partner’s existing operational offices in Manchester, Bradford and London. It provides pallet storage, block storage, storage for small parts, picking/packing and other value-added services. The warehouse will also function as a multi-functional road hub facilitating import, export, distribution and e-commerce services.
This marks a significant milestone for cargo-partner as it is the company’s first managed warehousing facility in the UK, previously warehousing services were offered through partners. Fergal Keenan, Managing Director Ireland & UK, said the Basildon facility represents “a significant milestone in our journey to provide end-to-end logistics solutions to our customers.”
The expansion into Basildon follows a period of rapid growth for cargo-partner in the UK and Ireland, which included opening a fourth UK office near London Heathrow Airport in November 2023. The company also has a well-established presence in Dublin, Ireland.
