Autostrada del Brennero, the Customs Agency and the prefectures of Bolzano and Trento have signed an agreement on the construction of the inspection centre.
It is thought the facility will be completed next summer.
The centre will span some 12,000 square meters and be three-storeys tall. It will be equipped with docks, inspection pits, and a walkway for inspections from above. Moreover, the building is to be equipped with special equipment capable of dynamically checking weight and license plate, which shall help to speed up inspections.
